Job Development and the Client: Selling a Product or a Service

I’ve completed a new program for DES consultants that looks at employers and clients. We use the discovery process to see who the DES client really is and their vocational interests. The program then looks at the employer side taking in business needs analysis, understanding business, reasons for hiring people not just those with a disability. The program then stitches it all together by looking at evidence for current practice, what’s been happening, what needs to happen and finally we look at the DES consultant, exploring their beliefs and values and how they impact on the success or failure of outcomes for clients.
